  1. European Countries
  2. The following countries have been included in this Europe program:

  38. ¶Quizes
  39. When you select “New Quiz” from the File Menu, a dialog box will come up which will allow you to select from 5 different quizes.

  41. Doubleclick in the given country :
  42. Doubleclick in the country with the given capital :
  43. Choose the name of the highlighted country
  44. Choose the capital of the highlighted country
  45. Choose the monetary unit of the highlighted country

  47. In the first two quizes you will use your mouse to select the given country.  You can either doubleclick the mouse in the country or click the mouse once, highlighting the country, and press 'RETURN' on the keyboard.

In the last three quizes a country will be highlighted by the computer.  You can use the mouse or the keyboard to select the correct answer (name, capital, or monetary unit) from a list.  Typing a character will scroll the list to the first answer beginning with that letter (or the next answer if none begin with the given letter).  You can also use the arrow keys to scroll the list.

  51. Any time during the quiz you can select “Show Score” from the Options Menu to find out your current score.
  52. ¶Learn Mode
  53. After selecting “Learn Mode” from the Options Menu, you can get information about any of the countries or about Europe as a continent.

You can click the mouse in any of the countries (or in the Europe icon) to get information about that country.  You can also use the keyboard to bring up the information.  Typing a character will bring up information about the first country (in alphabetical order) which begins with the typed letter.  You can also use the arrow keys to 'page' through the countries in alphabetical order.
  56. ¶Save
  57. After selecting “Save” from the File Menu, a dialog box will come up allowing you to choose which countries you want to save to disk.  You can choose to save all of the countries or only those which you select.  Use your mouse to select the desired countries.  A copy of the information about the selected countries will be saved to your disk in TEXT format which can be opened by any word processor.
  58. ¶Print
  59. After selecting “Print” from the File Menu, a dialog box will come up allowing you to choose which countries you want to print.  You can choose to print all of the countries or only those which you select.  Use your mouse to select the desired countries.
  60. ¶Print Map
  61. Selecting “Print Map” from the File Menu will send a copy of the entire map to your printer.
